The wide angle lens (26mm), the 5x optical zoom, and the HD video were the main reasons I bought it. The fotos and videos are great, but you use up memory in a hurry at 14mp and with HD video, so you’ll need 4gb or 8gb SD cards (at least two), preferably class 4 or 6 SDHC type for speed. Unless you need poster sized prints, you can set the resolution to 6mb or so, which is fine for 8×10 prints, and you’ll get way more shots per SD card.
